Sba De'ruach Seven souls
Breaking and re-constructing Moroccan Idioms
A collabration with the musician Idan Elmalem.
The piece investigates the Moroccan 'Mana' idioms, which are interpreted through context, each time differently . Through the Moroccan languagae, I deal with linguistic significance, as a personal, cultural and social interpretation. I break and re-construct the colorful and phonemic Moroccan Idioms, into a creation of new temporary meaning on stage. Personal, social and cultural references construct and support the inner language that is created. Instrumental, physical and vocal signs are forged, and are imprinted on clay.
Dramaturgy by Elad Schecter.
The creation process is sponsered by c.a.t.a.m.o.n dance group.
The piece premiered in
'From Jaffa to Agripas' festival 2018, Jerusalem Israel.
