'Throne' discusses the relationship between empirialistic Europe and the Arab-Moroccan culture, as a study case for cultural appropriation, and cultural hierarchy. To whom do cultural symbols belong? Who has the right to touch, discuss and use these symbols in both artistic and cultural context? Acknowledging my own European-Moroccan conflict, opened up the channel of exploring the political aspect of the inter-cultural tension, and examining how the cultural hierarchy could become fluid, depanding on the point of view taken.
